At Essence we are the basic, real and invariable nature of something that has significant and individual feature. It is the most important element of something.  Essence is the part of something of which, without it, it cannot stand.

Essence does not depend on others it has a true nature.  The non-existence of that is selflessness.

The women of this chapter are the Essence of the Order of The Eastern Star and we along with countless other sisters’ stand together to form this great order.  We stand to show the true meaning of our star.

Our lives are patterned after the five women who are represented by our beautiful star and as the Women of Essence Chapter we will carry ourselves accordingly.  We are the life blood of which the star was created.
